Amesbury, 1st December 2009 Voice and text messaging broadcaster RelayStation today announces that Huddersfield Town FC is the latest football club to adopt its voice broadcasting services to send personalised messages from the manager to thousands of fans simultaneously. Posted by Administrator
In its recent "Fiver a Friend" campaign, the voice of the club's manager Lee Clark was used to broadcast a message to the mobiles and landlines of opt-in season ticket holders encouraging them to "bring along your friends to the next match for just a fiver to help fill the stadium and give us great atmosphere."
The broadcast was timed ahead of the club's match against Wycombe Wanderers, which was dedicated to the charity Help for Heroes. Huddersfield Town won 6-0.
"This was Huddersfield Town's first voice broadcast to fans and it proved a resounding success. Our fans really appreciated hearing from Lee Clark and the stadium was packed as a result," says Alisdair Straughan, Head of Communications at Huddersfield Town FC. "We'll be regular users of this social communications service going forward."
Over 50 Premier, Championship and League 1 clubs now use RelayStation's voice and text broadcasting services on a regular basis as part of their marketing campaigns to interact with fans on a variety of subjects such as deals on half season tickets, special merchandising offers in the club shop and corporate hospitality events.

Amesbury, 11th November 2009 - According to a news item in the 30th October edition of The Times, the UK Government plans to close thousands of polling stations and reduce voting hours to cut the cost of elections. Posted by Administrator
Although later denied by the government, the plans were immediately condemned as a "threat to democracy that would save peanuts" and election officials said the Government was shooting itself in the foot. "There is a real danger that despite years of trying to get the voter to engage, the Government is doing the opposite," said John Turner of the Association of Electoral Administrators.
Critics said the plans would lead to even lower election turnouts. Voter turnout has been falling steadily over the decades with only 61 per cent of the electorate having voted in the 2005 general election compared with 84 per cent in 1950.
But there is another way to cut election costs and increase turnouts. We live in an electronic world and RelayStation believes that more voters would participate in elections if they were given more options on how to cast their votes not just at the polling station, but also by telephone and text voting at their convenience. Flexible voting, helping those who are ill, immobile, stuck in traffic jams, on holiday would surely encourage more people to participate in the democratic process.

Sells £1 million of quality, previously enjoyed cars, in one weekend and reduces missed service appointments by 97%Posted by Joe Allnutt
Cheshire Oaks and Amesbury, 20th October 2009 The Mitchell Group of Cheshire Oaks today announces that its latest quality used car marketing campaign proved a stunning success and generated unprecedented revenues of £1 million in the space of 3 days thanks in large measure to RelayStation's Email and SMS broadcasting services.
The marketing campaign brought together a mix of traditional and digital marketing techniques. A flyer was sent initially to a database of 14,000 existing customers in late September inviting them to a special car sale event at the Mitchell Group's Lexus, Mazda and Skoda dealership. A few days later, customers were sent a follow-up email and text message using RelayStation's SMS broadcasting services reminding them of the event and encouraging them to bring the family, neighbours and colleagues along.
"This is the first time that the Mitchell Group has integrated Email and text broadcasting into its marketing campaigns, and with sales worth £1 million, their impact is remarkable," says the motor groups after sales manager, Mick Mills. "We've never sold 90 cars in one weekend before and RelayStation's broadcasting services proved to be the powerhouse."
The Mitchell Group has since integrated RelayStation's email and text broadcasting services into other operations sending service reminders to customers and has seen a 97% reduction of missed service appointments as a result.

Amesbury, 19th October 2009 Video, voice and text message broadcaster RelayStation today announces its support for Qatar to host FIFA's World Cup 2022 finals. The announcement follows an impressive showing by members of the bid committee of the country's sporting credentials and facilities at this month's Leaders in Football (LiF) 09 event.Posted by Administrator
One thousand delegates representing the world of football attended LiF at Chelsea FC and had the opportunity to gauge the quality of Qatar's bid and footballing credentials as host of the 2006 Asian Games as well as the upcoming 2011 AFC Asian Cup.
"In these challenging economic times, countries with the resource to host such a global tournament as the WorldCup have a clear advantage and Qatar has the fastest-growing economy and highest per capita GDP," says Sharon Maslyn, RelayStation's managing director.
The success of Qatar to deliver results in the youth teams reflects a sustained investment in youth development in Qatar and underlines Qatar's commitment to football in the community," adds Maslyn. "The importance of this should also be recognised by FIFA when awarding the host nation for the 2022 WorldCup."
RelayStation's message broadcasting services are now fundamental marketing tools for sports clubs. In Britain alone, over 50 Premier, Championship and Coca Cola League clubs use its products week in, week out to build more personal relationships with their fans and to drive ticket and merchandising sales.
User clubs have established that voice and text messaging broadcasts are six times more effective than direct mail, four times less costly, and are at least fifteen times faster to implement. They've also found that telemarketing campaigns are twelve times more expensive than RelayStation's instant interactive dialogue products and are seven times slower to implement.
At LiF, RelayStation unveiled a new product called RelayVideo enabling managers or key players to record a short video of up to thirty seconds on a Camcorder, send the file to RelayStation together with a spreadsheet of opt-in fans' mobile phone numbers and instructions when to broadcast.
